Poor boy and cow's milk cup

In the neighborhood, there was a poor 12-year-old boy, orphaned from an early age, living with his father, a working worker. For tuition fees, the boy has been cycling daily to deliver to a boss at the market.
One day, it was dark, he was very hungry, but there was only a little change in his pocket to buy any food in the neighborhood. The stomach was hungry, the goods were not delivered, but he still had to try to finish the job.
Arriving at the last client's house, as well as dinner time, he intends to apply for a little rice to eat to help with hunger. But when he saw a young girl from the landlord who was about the same age when he opened the gate, he lost all his courage to speak. He dared not ask for anything to eat and said in a voice that was small and shy: "Can you give me a glass of water?"
The girl looked at his hungry form and ran into the house and brought him a big cup of cow's milk.
The boy did not shy away from drinking a cup of cow's milk and then asked: "So how much do I owe you?"
The girl was surprised and said softly, "You don't owe me any money, my mother taught me not to do good deeds, but ask for a response!"
The boy was very grateful and said to the girl sincerely before leaving: "So, I can only thank you from the bottom of my heart!"
On the bike ride home, he not only felt his vigor increase so much but his beliefs and hopes for life also surged. Because, life was so difficult in the past few years really made him want to give up all. That simple gesture helped the bastard boy to believe more in human goodness. That further gave him the strength and willpower, determined not to surrender to fate, did not give up the dream and firmly believe in the way of life.
Years later, a good girl suffers from a dangerous disease. The doctor in the area tried his best but the illness did not get better. No other way, they had to transfer her to the city center hospital.
Among the doctors attending the meeting that day was the presence of the old boy, who has become an excellent doctor, Dr. Howard Kelly. Upon hearing the patient's name and address, the young doctor's eyes lit up. He went straight to the hospital room and it was not difficult for him to realize that the good girl is now grown up.
From that day on, he was determined to study the material, to ask experiences from teachers and colleagues to find ways to save the woman. After 6 months of intensive care and treatment, her illness was over and over and restored.
The last day before the woman was discharged from the hospital, the hospital staff brought the medical records and bills to the doctor to sign. The doctor looked at the bill, wrote a word on it, and moved it to the other woman's room.
The woman did not dare to open the bill, because she thought that the hospital fee would certainly be a large sum of money that she could not pay for her life. But when she opened it, a line of notes on the bill seemed to hit her eyes: "An old cow's milk cup was enough to pay for all the medicine! Doctor Howard Kelly.
In her eyes, two rows of tears flowed and she was deeply touched and prayed: "God! Thank you, Lord! Thank you for your open hearts and full of love! ”
It is true that helping people is also helping me! Give away and help others, maybe what you give is just a very small thing but for others it may be what helps them to change their whole lives. The old people taught people to live and to practice virtue very deeply!
This is a true story of Dr. Howard Kelly, one of the four founders who founded America's famous Cancer Research Institute and Johns Hopkins University.
